Yeppoon

Queensland

The township of Yeppoon is the gateway to the Keppel Islands and the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Situated 38km north east of Rockhampton, Yeppoon is the hub community for the Capricorn Coast. This welcoming seaside town offers a picturesque esplanade with its backdrop of offshore islands, sparkling azure sea and clear blue skies and soak up the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. There is a great selection of boutiques and gift stores for you to wander through and afterwards sit down
for a bite to eat at one of the beautiful cafés and restaurants in town. Families are well catered for in Yeppoon, with the foreshore now also boasting the fantastic “Keppel
Kraken” zero‐depth water park, open daily with lots of fun and free activities for the kids on those hot sunny days. A short walk south down Anzac Parade will take you to Appleton Park, a fully fenced and shaded children’s playground that offers almost endless activities for the kids, including an all abilities playground, sandpit and mini bike track, plus BBQ’s, tables and public toilets to make it an ideal family outing. Just next to the park is the Yeppoon skate park, where the bigger kids will happily spend hours scooting around.
