Tin Can Bay

Queensland

Tin Can Bay is 2.5 hours north of Brisbane. Located at the southern tip of World Heritage Listed Fraser Island. Tin Can Bay’s a small sleepy coastal town known for being a boating and fishing paradise. Tin Can Bay adjoins the Great Sandy Strait and offers a tranquil base to discover the Cooloola Coast and enjoy the abundance of nature‐based activities.

There is so much to do and see, or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. You can go boating, fishing, kayaking, sailing, bird watching, lawn bowls, or play golf. Walk or bike ride along our beautiful foreshore and its kilometres of pathways. A highlight of any stay in Tin Can Bay is feeding the rare Indo-pacific humpback dolphin at 7am every morning at Norman Point.

Take a trip to Fraser Island or the coloured sands at Rainbow Beach. Our region offers many four wheel drive opportunities. One thing you can’t leave without trying is its fresh supply of seafood caught daily, delicious prawns, mud crabs and fish. With many activities and accommodation opportunities, we welcome you to our friendly town.
